Amapiano, according to Nigerian producer Kiddominant KDDO and Cassper Nyovest, was born in West Africa.
Kiddo answered with his facts to the argument between the Nigerian musicians May D and Davido on who brought the South African genre to Nigeria.
The DJ claimed that Sponono—Wizkid, Burna Boy, Cassper Nyovest, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza De Small—was the first yano sound to be introduced to Nigeria. This was followed by the DJ’s and Cassper’s Amapiano hit, eWallet.
“Ewallet” music was first created by Cassper and me in west Africa. Following Sponono, who made it more popular, David & foca greatly elevated the genre. Facts,” tweeted Kddo.
On social media, the argument about the importation of Amapiano into Nigeria has generated a lot of discussion. DJ Maphorisa is currently receiving abuse and trolling from Nigerians as a result of his claim.
